New England Complex Systems Institute is an independent academic research and educational institution that uses complex systems, the new interdisciplinary field of science, to approach the problems of the world today. Visitors interested in learning what complex systems involve should read the materials in the "About Complex Systems" link and its four subtopics, which include a "concept map" and "visualizations". The "Research/Publications" link contains topics that include healthcare, military conflict, and education. Visitors can click on each topic for a synopsis of the problem. Below each synopsis, visitors will find links to book chapters and articles that address the problem using the complex systems approach.
